Send a fax to Austria from abroad
Use +43 and omit the domestic leading zero. The Vienna area code 01 becomes +43 1. Do not enter +43 01.

Send a fax to Germany from abroad
Use +49 and omit the domestic leading zero. For a number written as +49 (0)… do not include that zero after +49. Use the recipient’s full international fax number.

Send a fax to Italy from abroad
Use +39 and keep the leading zero in Italian geographic landline numbers. A Rome number beginning 06 becomes +39 06, not +39 6.

Send a fax to Switzerland from abroad
Use +41 and omit the domestic leading zero. A number beginning 058 becomes +41 58. Do not enter +41 058.
Keep the recipient’s filing rules
Sending from abroad does not change the form, signature, identity or eligibility requirements. Check the recipient’s official instructions, especially if your postal address is abroad. Use the number listed for your procedure.
Arrange a reply before sending
Faxette sends faxes and does not provide an incoming fax number. If the form needs a return fax number, ask the recipient whether email or post is possible. Do not put Faxette’s support number or an invented number on the form.
Keep the application and transmission report
Keep a copy of what you sent and the delivery confirmation. If a deadline matters, check the recipient’s rules and allow time for busy lines or another attempt. A delivery report does not establish that an application was complete or on time.
